Hi everyone , let's first introduce myself.
My name is Jonathan and i live in Canada . I'm 26 . I've always liked video games . I started playing when i was around 5-6 years old with the Nintendo Entertainment System ( NES ) and i've never quit since then . I've owned a lot of consoles when i was younger as i was always asking my parents for video games and related stuff ( magazines , cards , video game related toys ).
During my NES times , i played around 50 to 60 titles wich were rentals mostly . The only cartridges i owned are Mario Bros 1 and 2 , Excite Bike ( which i still remember when my dad gave it to me .. i was so happy ) , Dr Mario and Quattro Adventures if i remember correctly.
After my NES times , i got a Sega Genesis , then a SNES , then a Nintendo 64 ... and so on.
My latest console i got were the new generation ones. I got my Xbox 360 the day it launched and it was pretty easy to get at the time .. almost no line-ups . Got to the store 10 minutes before opening and i took my copy of it . The PS3 and Wii were a little bit more difficult to get.
I spent an entire day outside the store to get my PS3 at launch but i got it . I also spent an entire night outside for my Wii but it was the most rewarding as everyone was trying to get one , i did some 'WII' parties that people still remember .
I've started collecting seriously games this year. I'm collecting pretty much every console there is starting with the Atari 2600 and ending with ps3 / xbox 360 . I'm currently focusing on NES thought as i have over 472 different titles on that console. I'm more than 200 titles away from a complete set but i will get there eventually.
So , I decided to start a blog about my 'Addiction' if i can say it like this . I will post here news about retro gaming , Collecting , my new aquisitions , my goals and of course i will post pictures of my stuff.
Every monday or so , i will post a 'Find of the Week' post that show the stuff i got . I will try to explain how i got it and how much did i pay for it .
So , Until next time !
