Finds of the Week #5 ! Edition 2009

Sorry for the delay , i was working pretty much all week . That didn't stop me from finding a LOT of stuff at the flea markets and the garage sales just after i was finished working . I won't make you wait any longer , here are the pics / stories :

First Find of the week , I was at the flea market with my wife and my kid . I was walking in the alleys when i saw a guy selling a lot of stuff and saw a SNES game on top of other stuff. I stopped by and looked amazed at the Paladin's Quest CIB in MINT condition . I asked the guy how much he wanted for his Nintendo games and said that he was looking for 4$ for the SNES ones and 5$ for the N64 ones since they are newer ... ( weird thinking but oh well ) . I offered , he countered offer , and so on . After 2 minutes i left with the 5 games CIB for 15$. Quite a good deal since Paladin's Quest is worth around 30$ on it's own . I was going for a good week !

I go back home and my Parents In law called me to offer me those games . They did the garage sales during the week-end and saw some Nintendo games . They offered 20$ for them all and the guy accepted. There is no real good titles in there except maybe the Mike Tyson's Punch Out and the Namco Museum. I was still happy with these games.

I got these at the Flea Market. 2$ each . I didn't have the 2 NES games . I always wanted a copy of Altered Beast as I was playing a lot on the arcade when i was young with my brother . I'm going to play this game with him next time he comes home.

Nothing special in this lot , took the games for 2$ each and the SMS controller for 1$.

Mario Game with the Converter and a N64 Rumble Pack . He was asking 5$ for the game but i managed to add the rumble pack with it for the same 5$ . The game must be worth some bucks as the converter alone is sometimes selling in the 20$ range.

We were going to the Flea Market ( me , my wife , my son and my mother in law ) when we saw a garage sale add on the street. I was looking forward to the Flea market so i said screw the garage sale , it's never good anyway . My wife then said to go to the garage sale and my mother in law too cause they had a feeling we would find something . We arrived at the house and there was no sign of video game . My mother in law went out of the car and asked the lady for Nintendo Games . The lady then went inside of her house and got back with those games.  I went to see and asked her how much she wanted . She said 1$ each . I offered 5$ for them all and she accepted. Pretty happy i listened to my wife .. hehe

Found that at the flea Market for 2$ each . Another game for my SMS collection . It's growing slowly but it's display nice as i'm only buying CIB ones.

Last find but not the least . Sega CD console , Sega Genesis 1 and 2 , couples of SMS games , Genesis games , Controllers, Sega Dreamcast Controller , Other games .. Everything on the picture for 15$ . I didn't have a Sega CD so it's a nice addition to the collection !!!

See ya next week for some finds !

Finds of the Week #4 ! Edition 2009

Hi everybody , slow week for my collection but i've still been able to add some titles to it .

First off , i did work a lot this week-end and had a family reunion so i was unable to do some flea markets but my wife did go for me and manage to get some SNES and N64 carts. I was pretty happy with it because i didn't expect her to come back with anything . Here is a picture :

( Mario Paint , Super Castlevania 4 , Sink or Swim , Pokemon Stadium and Mario 64 )
She told me that a woman had some carts of snes and n64 and that she checked in the book i gave her for how much they worth before picking those 5 carts. She asked the woman how much she wanted for them and she said 5$ each . My wife counteroffered at 3$ each and the woman said she woundn't change her mind about the price so it was 5$ each . My wife told her 3$ was her maximum and she left , the woman then ran for her and said it was ok . So it cost 15$ for those 5 carts. Not too bad since i can probably sell Mario 64 for that price since i already have it .
Second find is from a store near where i live. I go there about once every 2 weeks since they have some NES games but normally the prices are crazy... 20$ for a cart only Ice Hockey... wow . Anyway , I stopped by today and found a copy Cart+box of Platoon for 2$ . Not too bad since i already had the instructions.
And i bought a game for my wife and myself for the Wii . I figured it would be nice to do some '' exercise '' while having some fun together. I bought ACTIVE for the Wii.

Stay tuned next week for one of my biggest finds ever !!! Its gonna be an awesome week !

Finds of the Week #3 ! Edition 2009

Hi everyone , last week was very bad for finds and i was unable to add any new titles to my collection .
This week was not great either but at least i found some new titles to add.
First , let's start by showing you my new NES CIB Spy vs Spy 2. It's not an official release but someone on Nintendoage did a well job at creating this game . Its pretty nice . Here is a picture of the box :

Saturday i was sick so i couldn't go to the flea market but i went on sunday. I was very tired but i managed to get some titles.

All these N64 games were with a console.  I asked the young guy how much he wanted for them and he answered 3$ each . I asked him if he could take 20$ for the lot . He countered with 22$ and I accepted. They have a lot of markers on them but it can easily be removed with a nice trick a friend told me . The labels and the carts themselves are all in very nice condition so once the markers will be removed they will be immaculate.
Next find is a guy that is always at the flea market and i stop by every time but i never found something interesting until this week :
*cant make it look straight .. very weird*
Anyway,  it's Dusty Diamonds All Star Softball . I had already a copy but its worth quite a bit and the guy was asking 5$ for it . As i took it , a big woman came from behind and started taking all the NES games over my shoulder and was pushing me looking for deals. I figured i was not gonna ask the guy for a lower price as she would have jumped on the cart. I gave the 5$ and went away as the woman was throwing all the carts on the table. I hate people like that ... no respect whatsoever.
I have quite a few games coming in the mail for next week . Stay tuned for another Finds of the Week !

It took some tries but he went down 3 times on round 3.

Here are some pictures of the feat !

Pretty happy with it !
My second NES game i finish this year including Contra.
The next Title i'm going after will be Mega man 2 i think .

Rain , Rain , Rain , Stom , Rain , Clouds , Rain...... sigh

Bah ..

Sigh ...

Boring day at the job. Can't believe it's been raining all week-end . It's starting to get a bit cooler outside these days and the Flea Markets are gonna close in a few weeks and I really like going there every week-end. I see the end coming very soon ... sigh. I guess after the Flea markets closure , i'll have to shop and check online to get the good deals .. but that will be a lot less fun .
Anyway , I've worked a lot this week-end and got some money to buy a big NES game so i plan on improving my NES collection big time by buying a title that worth over 150+ $ . That would compensate from the no-items new for my collection week-end .
Anyways , I'll keep you posted this week about this new addition .
Peace out !

Why I Should Win Nintendo World Championships !

Here we go ,

Question : Why should I win Nintendo World Championships ?

Answer : Because I'm the biggest Nintendo Fan ever . I never stopped playing Nintendo games for my whole life , beginning when i was about 3 years old. I've always collected video games , especially from nintendo and this would be the cream of the crop . I can't believe how happy i would be to win this game. I think if i win this , i would litterally build a big monument to display the game and buy a lock and cameras to secure the room . haha.
Nintendo world Championship is the holy grail of video game collecting and it would be an honor to have this treasure !
Thanks to the guys from JJGames.com who are giving away one copy !
